Hello to all. New Member (Issued)

Hello all. My name is Dana and I live around Union City, Pennsylvania. We are about 30 miles south of Lake Erie and 4 miles from New York border.

I was into CB's back in the early 70's when I was stationed at Minot AFB, North Dakota. I strted out with a Johnson Messenger, 23 channel. Then I purchased a Pearce Simpson SImba base station and got hooked on SSB. I started selling CB's and antenna's to help support my CB's. My next purchase was a Siltronix 1011D, matched to a Wilson Shoot Star set of beams mounted 36 feet in the air. It was a lot of fun communication with my father and family back in PA when the conditions were right and talking all over the place with skip. I added a set of Browning Eagles and several Cobra 132 and 135. Learned how to modify and add channels, etc. In 1979 , I sold everything before I left the state. 
I got the bug again last year 2023 and now have my General License and currently studying for my Advance. I have a Kenwood 940S, Cobra 139, and a President 40 ch. Just bought a Anytone AT-5555N-II. Love it. All out of 1/2 wave dipole, 40 ft up. 

That about sums it up. Look forward to chatting with some of you and others.

Great introduction there and good to hear a little about your radio history. Also great to see a forum profile filled in full which makes call sign allocation a much easier and pleasant task.
