Greeting all,
I'm just coming back to radio usage after a gap of around 30 years and I wanted to request a call sign please?
I live in mid Devon (in a fairly high up village ) and have just picked up a CRT SS9900. Hoping to do some mobile DXing with my new kit.
Back in the day I ran a Uniden 200 into a Thunderpole 3 as my first rig (my parents would not allow me a half wave) and then picked up a Stalker 9. I eventually moved up to a half wave silver rod and also ran mobile when I started driving.
Furthest contact I ever had was summer 1988 on sunday morning, where I chatted to someone in Calgary, Canada on one of the low UK CB channels.
