hi all, my name is Alan, my callsign is Skippy. I have been away from the CB radio for a lot of years. About 5 to 6 years ago I did my foundation ham license, six months later I did my intermediate license. However, I don't use my amateur radios, very often as the way I was treated by some but not all fall ham users was less than polite. So invested in a new CB radio to return to my roots as I rather enjoyed my time on CB. I hope to contact you all from time to time on either the forums or on the radio. Until then, 10/10 two. You will.
Please may I have a CT callsign?

Hi Alan,
Welcome to the Charlie Tangos
Sorry to hear of your Ham woes, unfortunately you can find that sort of thing in all walks of life so never let it put you off.
It's as the saying goes, "The world isn't necessarily full of a***holes....... it's just that you meet at least one every damn day!"
Enjoy your radio, whether it be CB or Ham.
All the best, Victor

hello, Victor thank you for your kind words, but it wasn't a complaint more of a statement. But yes, I do agree with you the world is full of unsavoury people shall we say, and we have to live with it.
I wouldn't let people like that stop me, I have pulled off of amateur as a base station purely because of trying to put aerials up where I live.
her to speak to you over on the forums, or on the air at some time in the future.
Until then, 73's Alan.
