Hi everyone and thank you for having me!
My name's Ben I'm 30 YO located in Keighley west Yorkshire.
My interest in radio started a very long time ago and at 14 managed to get my first CB set up. Then I sort of forgot about it while I was a young adult and training to be a mechanic. Fast forward a few years and I suffered 2 very serious head injurys in a hit and run and then a motorcycle accident a few months later. Now I have more spare time than Ive ever had for obvious reasons my interest in radio sky rocketed again lol.

I'm sorry to have read about your injuries you've suffered Ben and wish you well with your recuperation which can take a long time especially when they are life changing. I was victim of a serious road rage attack whilst out on my motorcycle over 10 years ago which unfortunately left me housebound disabled ever since. Along with a diagnosis of a chronic health condition in the following years things felt very bleak. My revisit to an old interest in the radio hobby along with much help from people here at CT saw my life fulfilled with an enjoyable pursuit despite my incapacity. I may still be stuck at home yet communicate with people all over the world thanks to radio and this forum. 

I hope a similar positive experience rewards you too.
