Nice one Glenn, I hope it serves you well.
I was astounded at how loud the little speaker is on such a tiny radio especially when compared to my Leixen VV-898 which has a speaker akin to a headphone element so an external speaker is used on that.
The Jopix does have an external speaker connection which would be handy if the radio was 'tucked' away impeding the speaker outlets but otherwise it's great as it is.
I'm having fun with mine and hope you do with yours.

Got the Jopix PT 31 fitted in to the car next to the Anytone 779 RH68 VHF radio, these radios are used when drivering out of town mostly for road conditions and the Anytone 779 is used for Road service and Hunting , more people use the Hunting radio service, we are allowed more power, upto 25w on some of the channels. One thing wrong with the JOPIX, the screws in the packet are to big for the mounting bracket holes, but easily fixed.

Looking good there Glenn and seems to have all squeezed in rather well.
The screws that came with mine were spot on and even long enough to screw into my wooden shelves, but as you mention it's no biggie.
As referenced earlier on my posting there are some options for moving around the jumpers inside these radios including one that'll switch it to high power (8W) but I left my as UK/EU 4W 'standard'.
I must say I'm pretty impressed with these little modern CB radios and this one is well designed from a decent volume speaker to easy controls and even the fist mic is quite decent too. Not a bad price either.
Thanks for posting Glenn.

Hello Glenn,
Nice radio.
I have used heavy-duty velcro strips to mount my CRT Space U (for pmr) amd my President Mckinley in my car. The strips will hold seven kilos of weight. Which is more than enough to hold the radios. I have done the same with mic holders, too. I got it from Halfords for six quid odd, for one metre.
It saves on drilling messy holes in the dash and has given me lots of scope for mounting them.

Good information about the velcro options, probably do that in my next car, the Vw Golf is 10 years old, low mileage, 180.00km but due to Finnish winter's it's starting to show its age, I did the velcro fix for my Uniden 200, no bracket so velcro fix to the top of my computer, then run a external speaker
