Subject: KPO DX5000 -- K40 Speech Processor Mic Wiring Thu Oct 31, 2024 5:07 pm
Hi Guys ,
Hope you are well. Looking for some help with an old K40 speech processor mic. Ive had a search around but my wiring seems to be different colours.
On this K40 i have Red , Black , and the Yellow wire is (Tangled among the Ground/Screen wire) .
I know pin 4 on the KPO DX5000 is the bogey pin and the speech processor requires a voltage .. Do you think its possible to wire this to the radio or will i have to go inside the rig for a seperate feed?
Any help or advice is appreciated.
Regards

This might help: K40 Manual
and this: DX5000 Mic wiring
I wouldn't connect the receive wire (blue) it might short out the 12v supply.
