wouxun wo-kg-uv980pl new mobile quad band transceiver

hi i give up on this wouxun quad band transceiver i dont know how to work the software to program this rig i bought this 6/2/4/70cms transceiver from martin lynce and sons the radio is to difficulty to program i think i will have to sell it to some one who can program it thanks looking and i am glad i stil have my 4 meter ascom m0kbd paul

What problems are you having with the programming? I had the 950P and found it easy to program. The problem a lot of people have is with the USB lead failing to connect or reading/writing from/to the radio, and the it's usually down to the driver for the programming lead.

A lot of the Chinese radios have the same issue because of the 'copied' prolific chip. If you have a newish version of Windows it automatically downloads the official driver, which doesn't work with the copied chips, so you have to download an older version of the USB driver. You will have to delete the current driver then load the new (older) one before pluging in the lead.

hi i got the quad band wouxun wo-kg-uv980pl programed for a tenner it works fine at a local ham shop in shildon i have been told that the tx audio is low but readable with extended rx thanks for looking paul m0kbd happy christmas
