cheers  hi i have a hitachi stereo hifi can i build/buy /find   away of safely connect 4 speakers for posible soround sound  improved audio thanks for looking have a great day paul

Depends on the output of the hi-fi and what ohms the speakers are,
If the hi-fi can handle 4 to 8 ohms and the speakers are 8 ohms then you can double them up.

If you reverse the speaker connections on the second pair you will get a simulated quadrophonic surround sound I used it in discotheques back in the day 70s-80s. Give it a try
