I have decided to try & drum up some activity on 70cm simplex today in the London area so if anybody is about today feel free to pick up the mic. I will be starting at 12 this afternoon right into the evening.
I may do this every Sunday in the hopes I can generate some interest and encourage the use of 70cms simplex.

Good luck with this, I know as an ex Londoner the band is under used in the Capital. It's one I really love though, don't forget to post the frequency you'll be working on. Let us know how you get on.
Best 73 Gary.

Thanks... it all depends in regards to frequency, some simplex frequencies suffer from interference in some ares around London, I'll aim for 433.400 MHz that one is probably less likely to have interference, its clear from where I am.

So far its been a disaster, I called CQ two stations came back then my SWR went sky high and had to cut my transmission mid way. Its pouring down with rain so I expect water has got into it. I got an antenna setup indoors for now and trying again but no luck so far. Maybe I will have better luck next Sunday but I will keep trying today.
