Only ever had Sliding Sections with Ju ilee Clips prev Years ago, One I have now is Threaded Sections do these have to be Taped up or Leave ? , there is Rubber/ Fibre Washers that sut Between them , 3 Section Ant ..2 Threaded Sections

The washers are there to stop the ingress of water into the threads. Additionally, if the antenna is going to be a long-term installation, I smear some silicone grease on the threads then tape over the entire joint with self-amalgamating tape (winding from bottom to top so water runs over the overlapping turns and not into them).

and if in doubt try some heat shrink to it will tighten up and be even better stop for the H20

Any one got a Himalaya , what I thought was rubber Washers , they r actually foam Bungs for want of a better Description , im assuming they push in then squashed down from the section going into it, any particular way orcend goes 1st, 1 vud says wasnt used and swr was ok
