Hi all, finally up and running in the beautiful Conwy Valley. Running a SS6900: on a Sirio 5/8 wave and mobile with a SS9900 and a Sirio Hi Power. Be nice to get out and about in the hills when all this blows over.

If you're in North Wales or North West England please drop me a line with any nets or events.

Cheers, stay safe

Gary

You have to call CQ Alan. The 11 meter band is just about to open for the E-Skip season so monitor 27555 and give a shout out someone is usually listening. Good luck!

Thanks Gary but tried many times.
I can get contacts if i go up the mountain across the water but what i am saying is there is nobody local at all just silence.
Back when i was last active i just sat in my shack and talked all over the world during the day and all over north wales at night.(if i got chance as people asking me to do a repair every 5 minutes alphas came in handy)..

Hi Alan,

Yeah things have definitely changed since the heyday of C.B. radio. That's a shame that there's not many people local to you. The band will open into Europe over the coming weeks and months so at least you can enjoy some of that action. I have given a few Wales call signs out recently so perhaps there is some scope for a few contacts there. Good luck!

73's Gary.
