Hi All,
Recently decided to tinker with some old CB's in the loft, I enjoyed it and then took the plunge and bought some new kit.
Last time I owned a CB Shakin' Stevens was in the UK pop charts (I kid you not).
Great to actually talk to a few local CB users - nice to know there are still a few out there and it's not just static.
May I also request a call sign.
Many thanks.
All the best.
Rich.

Hi Rich,
Welcome to Charlie Tango DX.
Isn't that just typical? We must've had two or three new members in Bedfordshire recently after I spent months earlier in the year fruitlessly shouting out on CB frequencies! However I did enjoy shooting some summer skip into Europe on SSB this year. I went on to get my Ham ticket in the end as it seemed CB was dead in our area.
Anyway, callsigns are usually issued most days so you shouldn't have to wait too long, but bear in mind admin are volunteers....we like to take the odd Sunday off
All the best, Victor

Hi Rich, I'm a new member too and also in Bedfordshire so hopefully we'll get QSO at some point, and with Victor too (yes, I am trying to learn the Q codes as it was all 10 codes when I was last on in the 80's!)
I had a Shakin Stevens LP but don't tell anyone!
Cheers, Nick.

Nothing wrong with a bit of old 'Shakey' (Or any 'fun' music really )
If my 27Mhz antenna lights up I'll know it's one of you guys so I'll be sure to pop my head up from the Ham bands and give you a shout.

Hello Richard, welcome to the forum.
Would you be kind enough to put a specific QTH in your profile, the nearest town or city is required for me to issue you a call sign.
