No rush guys. I’ve only got a Harvard 410T at the moment and although I have picked up a few people chatting, the signal has been very faint. I live in a small village just outside of Bishops Stortford and I don’t think that there is much CB action going on here. I’ve also got a Boafeng GT-3TP but I haven’t got a ham license so I only use it to listen to chat.

No worries Dean.
Hearing chat on your old hand held is a good sign of local CB traffic to you and if you go for a better rig setup you'll know it isn't in vain
Listening on your Baofeng is all part and parcel of the radio experience too. I spent years just listening, bit of CB action on and off and thanks to helpful members here eventually went on to get my Ham ticket. It's a thrill to be able to call back or call out, but I still like to just simply listen.
Radio can be a very rewarding hobby as most of us know. So welcome aboard Charlie Tango, it all adds to the experience.
