New K-PO DX 5000 Plus V7 dat files

Thanks to a very nice gentleman on another site i have the software for the new K-PO DX 5000.
I have written 3 files for this in various guises to suit the different needs of each operator.
These are being tested this morning on my mates new radio to check all is ok on them.
I'll let you know later how it went. And if you want one just ask.
By the way, the programming cable for the SS9900 does the job.
Option 1 is how Knights supply the radio but my mates ch 21 and 22 were txing elsewhere.
And when i read from the radio Band A ( UK40 ) started at 27.614000, 27.624000, 27.634000 etc.
He phoned Knights and explained and they said there must be a glitch on their system. So if you bought one recently from Knights check your radio.
If there is any other way you want a dat file, let me know and i'll do my best to make it.

                    Band B – 10m ssb
                    Band C - Lo
               Band D - Mid

Sure someone asked the other day hope they check back.

These 3 files have been tested and are working 100%.
My mate now has 10m 11m 12m. He's not licenced but he likes to listen.
Going to load up on to the CT FB page in the files section. There is also a copy of the options list.

Hi, I'd like to download the file.
But which one is the question.
Just bought a intek hr 5500 so ain't got a ruddy clue as yet. Checked it was working and was listening to Brazil and Eastern block stations. Which would be best for an ex s. Lo - - - s. Hi. 80's kid. Wouldn't like to miss out on the rigs capabilities and something new.
I'm mainly an earwigger.

Send me your email and i'll send you a sl to sh dat file for the Intek.

These new files won't work on older radio's.

Do you have a programming cable.

Are you licenced as i have files with 10m for your radio.

Sgt bilko looks to have vanished of the face of the earth strange.
He was a good go to guy for this info.

I have no more of an idea of Paul - Sgt Bilko's whereabouts then anyone else Alan.

The last I knew was that he had posted his .dat files on the Facebook group but he hasn't posted on the forum (or his log book activity on QRZ) since April last year.

I do hope he is alive and well.


You can easily make your own .dat file from the programming software.....but it does involve a lot of typing.

Just thought you might be able to see an email address being admin Victor.
He did give a lot of help with this.

Admin or not I wouldn't just go giving out anyone's email address unless public without their consent.

He does have an email account on his QRZ page for all to see but like I said there appears to be no current activity from him. I'd hate to think the worst but its also surprising how many people simply 'give-up' the hobby interest or are otherwise busy.

I know Paul was a fantastic help and even let him know as much.



Unfortunately when you are helpful you can get a lot of unsolicited mail and quite often not even a word of thanks. I've lost count of how many mailings I've received asking for help with things such as the repair of radios (impossible task over the internet!) let alone general radio requests/enquiries.

I thought you could have emailed him wasn't wanting you to give out his addy.
Not worried well i just hope he is ok.

No worries Alan and I too hope he is OK.

If I chased or emailed everyone that disappears from the forum I could well be here all day. Just look at how many call signs Gary and myself issue and then they're never heard from again.

Hope he is ok and comes back on here.
He was a daily contributor and helped many.

Just a heads up, Sgt Bilko hasn't logged on the the forum since 2022 so I would seek an alternative source if I was you.
