Yes to Martin Lynch and the mod. Warranty as has had the mod warranty at there discretion so yes if I don’t over do the power that was there words of advice Do not use at full power on 11 meters ? I don’t anyway I use 12 watts into a Linear with my ft450D . All the reports have been brilliant . Regards Dave.

If you've got the money, then why not. (My wife would kill me if I spent that sort of money on radio gear! )
We've had quite the debate on Charlie Tango in the past regard 'widebanding' HF sets....I say each to their own.
Enjoy.
All the best, Victor

Looks like a beauty of a rig, especially like the RS232, USB and DV out connections. No.3 in the Sherwood list too I think.

Looks a nice bit of kit. I went from the ft-450d to the ft-991a and love it. My station commander would also kill me if i spent that amount. But thinking about it i would get some peace for a week or so as she wouldn't speak to me lol. I say if you have it and it's what you want then go for it and enjoy your radio.(as long as the bill's are paid and food in the cupboard that is)....my moto.
