Hello, I am new to this site and have just registered. I would like to request a call sign. I live in Wokingham and hold a full amateur radio licence (M0TJJ), and last night at my club (G4BRA) there was a 27/81 rig up for grabs from an old chap who had gone silent key. I haven't used a CB radio since the early 80s, but am looking forward to getting on air. I can often be found on the Bracknell repeater, GB3BN, for anyone with a Foundation licence.
I believe that CB radio operators and Licensed Amateur radio operators have a lot in common. You certainly don't have to be licensed to join G4BRA - I wasn't when I became a member.

I totally agree with you about people with the radio interest and enthusiasm for it all with everyone being welcome here regardless of background or field of interest.
