Hunting around the old packing boxes today. Found an old Astatic D104 T-UG8, and and old JIL SWR & field strength meter still in the box, with original instruction leaflet. Put them up on the shelf as ornaments for now.

Oh Jeff, you tease us with such beauties. Where's the pictures?
I know the Astatic D104 has a love/hate response to them but I rather liked them. (Especially if the operator actually picked the damn thing up to use it instead of rattling it around their desk!) Nothing better than slouching back on your chair, D104 sat on your paunch belly, (otherwise known as a beer gut!), having a good old rag chew.
I used to have two old JIL meters myself, flip, years ago now! (Long lost in the mists of time.) One was a long unit with a Field Strength indicator and the other was unusual in having a switchable 50/75 ohm switching.
Nice finds mate, even if they just ornate the shelves.

I just click the "Host an image" tab and go from there no need foe any other platform.
