Hi all, after having tuning problems with the Thunderpole Galaxy 5/8 & getting nowhere fast with it, bought a Sirio Gainmaster 5/8 & finally got it put up yesterday. Not too bad assembling it, fairly easy. Got it mounted ok & then had to leave it until today to try it out. What a difference! SWR is 1.0 to 1.2 across all the AM, FM & FM UK bands with the meter barely moving at all. FANTASTIC!! Couldn't get the Thunderpole to anywhere near that & only good on FM UK, all the other bands needed to have the whip retuned & i couldn't be ar**d to keep climbing up a ladder to do it! No contacts as yet but haven't really had much time to play.
Thanks to all for the genuine help that was offered & if anyone wants a pretty new Thunderpole, get in touch.
All the best, Bob.

make sure the coax antenna in the antenna its self it is not to tight as when it bends it will cause problems and that comes from a good mate that told me that good onfo.
