CT 11m Call sign Application ???? (Issued)

19 for a copy…. God this takes me back. I was CB crazy in the 80’s and had to have the sigma 4, Superstar 360 & a Zetagi value amplifier which was supposed to pump out 1000 on Side bands (I forget which model?) 
I’ve started to get interested in Ham radio hence buying the Ranger but haven’t gotten around to taking the foundation license as yet. 
I came across a YouTube video which mentioned that there are a few people starting to bring the CB channels back to life, every now and then hopefully this is the case as I did have some good fun back in the day. 
Any I thought that I would apply for a CT 11m Call sign and jump on board with you lot…

Hi Clint,

Worth checking out the usual haunts and giving a shout out such as on the 19. I think your way there's the 305 net you should be able to pick up. (Channel 30 EU/CEPT or mid block.) Might also be worth listening out for the Southern Area & South Coast net, Thursday evenings @8pm on 27.395MHz. (Channel 39 EU/CEPT mid block.)

Most of the CB stuff I hear nowadays is SSB as we're not all the next street over with a DV27 on a biscuit tin like the old days. (Most CB'ers are much further apart today hence sideband use.)

Worth a listen out on the old 'freeband' frequencies too for a bit of action. (The old triple nickel 27.555MHz and surrounding frequencies.)

Remember, no one knows you're there if all you are doing is listening so worth transmitting and giving a shout out just in case someone else is just listening too.
