OK.. typical thick Callum at the controls..
I went ahead and expanded the Pres McK that I got for Xmas but I can't seem to adjust the power output by following the manual. Has anyone else here got an expanded Pres McK that I can talk to?
Also, it might be my dumb fingers, but the automatic UK channels have gone AWOL (which in hindsight probably would have done!), so I'm now on say 27.350 or 360 or 370 etc with no correlation between "legal" channel numbers and frequencies. Is that right?
Actually, I might just put the mod back in and use the Acom 2000 to give me a small boost!

Hi Callum, sorry just seen your post. To adjust power key up press men echo button then press in channel select knob once adjust with channel select knob and press channel select knob once to confirm new setting and de key. On FM mode press F key for a few seconds to enter UK channels. Sorry for delay in getting back to you, hope you get it sorted. 73 Steve.

@StevieG - Ok.. It's not plugged in right now. RF noise too high at the house. I'll plug it in when I move the factory and work it out then - or *if* I go /P with the old gal. Thanks for the tip though.

Yup Callum McCormick, creator of the DX Commander antenna and definitely one of ham radio's more colourful characters. I remember his maverick mohawk from back in the day but it has now got tamed with age. He's also got an interesting Youtube channel:
