Great to see and hear about your SOTA activation Craig.
Some good contacts there especially with just 5W, I do love a bit of QRP.
Here's to many more activations.

Great to see you all set up on a summit there and impressive contacts too, living across the valley from the Ochil Hills and just South of the Trossachs I hear many local activations on 2m which I notice are picking up again now the weather is improving a bit.

Cheers Alan and I think also the SOTA programme here in the uk was temporary put on hold during the lockdown period , it has only just restarted but the advice is only to activate if you can walk your local SOTA from home ie no driving
So tomorrow I will be activating G/NP - 039 which again is within walking distance from my home QTH
Hope to get a few more itl

Heard you on 2m this morning Craig, 145.475MHz. Not direct unfortunately but you were booming through G0XBU Jodrell Bank websdr, S7-S8 R5.
Must've counted at least a dozen contacts you made but could only hear one or two of them. Nice job with the M0MZB SOTA to SOTA.
You weren't on long but you sounded damn cold up there!
Well done mate. Good to hear your voice for the first time too.

Great job Craig.
We had builders turn up to do our bathroom so must've missed the first part of your activation, (and only heard the latter over all the noise!) Only got you from M7BCE up to G0PWZ but was a fun listen. Think it's the first time I've actually heard a VHF SOTA even on a websdr so found it all a bit thrilling.
Time to build a dirty big beam and keep an eye out on tropospheric......I might get you yet!

Oh heck senior moment yes it’s the 4th my bad
Usual call on 145.500 and then find a clear one which can be difficult when so high up As for HF it’s just a case of finding a clear one and calling
Best to have a look on SOTA watch for any spotted frq

Ey up, you'll be on the wrong side of that wall then Craig.
I shall have a listen out for you probably through Jodrell again but see if I can SWL you through the old Yaesu. (Still doesn't TX but has beautiful receive! )
Best of luck and above all enjoy yourself.
All the best, Victor

One of our Favourite SOTA Summits Craig, not too bad a walk up and plenty of space to get away from the public!
Will listen out and watch for spots
Good Luck, hopefully at least get your 4 required

Hi Tony
Last time I climbed Pendle hill was way back in 1977 lol so it was great to re visit and it certainly is a impressive SOTA stunning 360 views
Plenty of contacts on 40 and 20m which included 4 S2S ( summit to summit ) contacts
As you say plenty of room on the summit but it was fairly busy
Ran out of time so didn’t TX on 2m

I will be activating GW/NW-070 Great Orme on Monday 20th September at 1000 UTC using 2m SSB with a 3 element Yagi, 2m FM with a dipole and trying out a new 4m Handie with a home-brew dipole?!! Will be using callsign GW1JPV/P
NO HF as I expect the summit will be popular with tourists , so won't want to put up a longwire (H&S!)
Possibly after that will try some 11m mobile using my CT Call?
Fingers crossed!!

Thanks Craig, will do all 4 compass point directions with the yagi ,
Victor wants me to point to Bedford area also, so if WX holds will stay up until my SLAB goes flat!
There used to be a few chasers over in Ireland when I was more active a couple of years back so may get some DX
