"big pile up", I'd say. Today and yesterday. Tried longer than you both today and yesterday to get through to A80K. Gave up (I don't often give up) and went and and had a nice chat with a portable station in Crete instead. Well done for breaking through to that one Craig.
lol keep at it Neal mate , he was a good 5/9 plus when I finally got him , he did say he had a very high noise floor and also much qrm , dosent help he was working multi split , pot luck in the end and a good slice of luck to find a break in the pile up

Another new one for me this time around, over 30 years since I last worked Peru. That's a total of 133 DXC entities worked, all on SSB since returning to the bands about five years ago. Sadly still waiting on Oceania for all continents, I’ve a poor take off to the NE, which makes it a bit of a struggle on 80 watts and a T2LT.

Hey cheers Jimmy and yes certainly a tricky one with such a big pile up , I worked him around 4pm when he was fairly strong here, came back into the shack and he was still there @ 9:30 pm lol , with a much less frantic pile up
Keep at it and am sure you will get him

Craig, I see you worked VP8KCA. I worked him on the 13th and he had a mega signal. 59+20 on 28.488 when I first got through, but then was battered by contesters just 1kc either side. He gave me a genuine 59 too. An hour later he we was back at that same high signal on 28.510. Never heard a Falklands that high before. Had VP8LP a few times, and although always a good level non-fading type signal from him over long operating periods, he's never been as high to me as VP8KCA. Wondered if he was the same through to you?
A lot on at work at moment, but trying to sneak a few minutes for a contact here and there. I worked Paraguay the other day, only my second ever 10m SSB contact to there, so that made me happy.

US has been deaf to me for days, but tonight this station popped up for only a few minutes. I heard him give up on a G1 but he heard me, returned my callsign, then disappeared just as fast as he popped up. Can only assume I caught a bit of sporadic E. Whichever, I'm over the moon to get US with only 20w on a random wire

My first HF contact for 19 days following firstly a six day break in Scotland and secondly a bathroom refit here at home!!
My logbook says by this time last year I was on a total of 29, so a lot of ground to make up …

Yay, the band is coming alive again.
Just had EA2ELS & AM175DD, but no points for me.
