Hi Wayne,
You should get a call sign really soon, as mentioned they are usually issued most days.
The Admin on Charlie Tango work on a purely voluntary capacity giving up their free time as and when they can for the greater good of the group. This 'spare time' is usually juggled around other commitments such as employment, family, other matters and usually some sleep is thrown in there for good measure too.
The Admin member who issues callsigns, namely Mr Gary Wilson does an amazing job sorting it all out. From checking for callsign requests, to hunting the forum for requests posted in the wrong areas and then checking databases to ensure numbers are allocated accordingly. Then he will post his own welcome and notify you of your callsign.
I think he does a marvelous job with issuing on most days and he has done relentlessly for some time.
So yes, hopefully not long now.
