Subject: Cobweb and 2m/70cm on the same pole. Sun Jun 27, 2021 7:17 am
Just bought a cobweb and trying to work out what will go where. Then i thought about putting my 2m/70cm on the top of the pole with the cobweb below. Will the coax that will have to come down the middle have any adverse affect on the cobweb. Any ideas ?.

What you want to do will work absolutely fine. Try and keep a couple of feet separation between the bottom of the dual bander and the Cobwebb. Any radials on the dual bander will possibly have an impact on the tuning of the Cobwebb but it'll be minimal.

Thanks for that one Conor. Didn't think it would be a problem but never tried 2 antenna's on the same pole. It will get rid of one pole so that will please Linda but not sure what she will think of the cobweb when it goes up. I have told her it is just like the next doors rotary washing line but "slightly" bigger lol.

Not really, be no different than mounting it on a metal pole.
My original Steve Webb one was mounted about 6 inches above my rotator cage, worked fine.

Still not made my mind up about putting the 2m/70cm on the top. I might relocate the 2m/70cm so that way i can keep my long wire i have got very attached to it lol. Going to get the tape measure out tomorrow but it will be tight if it will fit where i am thinking.

It's now upright fastened to the swing where it is staying. Just needs the other pole under it now. Copy on 20m to Oman. MARKONE I love it so far well impressed with it. Too hot out there to do anymore today.
