Hi Darren it sounds like you may have put your radio back to Factory default.I have the latest version of the 6900n V6 and it says that you can switch back and forth between 10 and 11 meter bands.I hope this helps because I’ve never done it. Press and hold Function and S/RF while turning the radio on and then turn the channel selector to either band 1 or 2. It also said you may have removed the UK Fm 40 channels but as I’ve never tried it I’m not sure what the outcome is. I hope I was some help and hopefully things turn out ok.
Cheers Tom CT 4029

Hi tom I feel i might be back to factory settings this is not good. yes ive tried this i think that was the problem it factory restores its self if you hold function button to go between 10-11m . if i do that and select number one i get 28-28 something or other frequencies and selecting number 2 gives me from 25-28 something but its not the same its picking nothing up even on 27305 and 27555. and that beep it does when you turn a knob or press a button is horrendous. cheers darren CT 4165

You might need a programming cable if you can't sort it with button's. The backup file is on here some ware if you do a search but if i find it i will post a link. Software is in this link but still looking for the backup file. https://www.pjbox.co.uk/pages/downloads See this post for backup files. https://charlietangodxgroup.forumotion.com/t2946-dat-files-and-software

Yes the radio needs power when programming. When you get into it the cable will come in handy. You well i think you can have 50 or 60 channels in each bank. When i had one i programmed the Alpha's in to save messing. Didn't keep the radio long to many buttons that you can press and screw things up with lol as you know. All the info is on youtube and Bilko has the files needed on facebook.

Re the beeps when you touch anything, if you press Func and BP you can turn that beep sounder on and off. No harm in trying that or playing with other settings till you get your cable to sort it out proper.
Did you get a manual with it when you bought it? If not there's one on line here: http://www.cbradio.nl/crt/Manual_CRT_6900_ENG.pdf

Darren You only need the power supply nothing else. I have a small 12v battery for cases like this (old one from a mobility scooter).
