I’m formally James but more commonly just Jim. Retired ex RAF, l did a 22yr stint but am gradually returning to being a normal person! I only ever used CB in the 80s, that was when l was an RAF Recruiter & then only for traffic updates & getting directions during night-time excursions around East Anglia doing talks to clubs & Air Cadet groups. I’ve just been made a present of a President Lincoln 2 Plus & membership to the Radio Society of Great Britain. I am totally in the dark regarding use of my new radio & how to conduct myself on air. However l do know what a muppet is & I’m not one of those! Anyway, l thought about a ‘proper’ club & Charlie Tango was an obvious choice. My Thunderpole SD58 arrives tomorrow so I’m hoping a call sign will be allocated to me soon. Finally, looking forward to speaking all or some on air very soon

Having past experience, gotten a new radio, getting a new antenna and being issued a CT callsign you're well on your way to some radio fun!
