Subject: Newbie but Oldie & Call Sign Request (Issued) Wed Sep 15, 2021 10:40 am
Hello, I'm NoMad, who decided last year to revive an old cb set just for laughs. Well, I was surprised that there are still breakers out there. Since then, I put my twig up outside and as an sdr radio user, saw activity across the airwaves, so decided to buy a new crt ss 6900N which offers more channels, and sideband, than my old muppet band radio in hope to DX with whoever can hear me..
Started cb'ing in the late 70's !
I would like also to request a Call Sign please, so I can make better contact, maybe one day across to Europe, since I can recieve many users already.
Thanks and 73's to all.

Hi Nomad, welcome to CT Land, You will either have to move this to the section that is titled callsign request and change its title to reflect the request or start a new thread in the callsign request section make sure your profile shows name , Country and area. Gary Wilson will then see your request and sort it as soon as he's able, Good luck Tony

Hi and welcome to the forum. Many of us on here are old cb-ers who have returned to radio after many years. There is also a lot of help to be had from members if you need anything help wise. Some have even gone a bit further and taken the ham licence to find a bit more as we are in the low well starting to come out of it so cb-dx should get better soon i hope. As said put your name and all the details in your profile and request a call sign.

I've moved your request for a call sign to the appropriate area of the forum to ensure it isn't missed by Admin responsible for issuing call signs. (I've sent a mail too so that you can still find the posting.)
You've already had some warm welcomes from other members which is good to see and as has already been pointed out you will need to fill out your profile details. (First Name as a minimum.) Just click the 'Profile' button at the top of the site when you are logged in.
Call signs are usually issued most days so just keep an eye on this posting for when you are allocated yours.
All the best, Victor
C.T. Admin.
