New saying hi (Issued)

Just saying hi to you all my name is Dave I live in Liverpool UK am married to Christine,I had CB radios back in the 80s had a supper star 360 FM  with super low and super hi with the ghost channels had a Silver rod mounted on my chimney did a lot of side banding getting out to USA/Italy/Germany/France/Poland.I don’t now how this works so forgive me if this is the wrong way to go about things but how long do you have to be a member before you can request a call sign thanks for now and thanks for letting me join 73s

Hello Dave, welcome to the forum, unfortunately 26 div call signs are on hold at the moment following a change of forum host and the database having some technical problems, you've posted in the right place and admin will issue you a call sign ASAP.

hi Steve thanks for the welcome hope to use the site a lot once i get set up and running and no doubt will be asking a lot of questions .I have writing dyslexia so excuse some of the spelling in the posts and it takes me a bit longer than a lot of people to reply to posts as i have to check before i post

Any time line on the database been fix would like a call sign

Hi all.
In Mick from Staffordshire ( stoke )returning to the hobby since 1990..now 53 years old and eager to get back on ssb.
My current radio is a CRT 9900 . 35amo MAAS power supply and a Sirio 827 in the back garden !
Looking forward to speaking with everyone and also I'd like to request a CT calling when that is possible.

Welcome to the group, If you read the Red writing on the NEW MEMBERS INTRODUCTION section, you will see you have to post your own Topic , introducing yourself and requesting a call sign in your own post, and don't forget to fill in your details on your profile so we all know where you are ect . #Nice antenna same as i use so hope to catch you on the T5's sometime.

Afternoon Gary and thanks for the call sign will be about 24 days before I can use it as my daughter is buying me a new radio for Christmas https://hamgear.wordpress.com/2013/03/04/review-superstar-ss6900n-v6/ look like a good radio but not used one for over 20+ years so dont know will be using it home based so will need a power supply any recommendations will be getting silver rod the radio is from nights

You won't find many critics of the SS6900 on here mate. I use a 30A switch mode PSU for all my radios a bit overkill but gives plenty of head room in that department. Roll on Christmas for you buddy!
