Just thought I'd share my shack pictures with everybody.
Its only a small room so the table gets used for radio stuff, model-making, repairing things, making things, homebrewing etc. Alcohol homebrew takes place in the kitchen
I've only been here for 6 months so things are still a bit of a mess. I'm hoping to have all my radios 'boxed in' over the next few months and I'm still trying to find a way to get a permanent 'stealth' antenna put up somewhere
Victor: Many thanks for your help this morning. Very much appreciated

Brilliant stuff there John.
Some great gear and loving the Morse key, something I need to push for myself. (Still rusty, love CW listening but not good enough for a QSO yet!) It's a "proper" shack in my eyes especially with the scientific calculator, steel rule and soldering iron!
I noticed your Zetagi 203W a meter I have myself but currently converting to a tandem line PEP reading affair loving a bit of homebrew. I'll post details up over the coming days and it may be of interest to you.
As for the 'help' you're more than welcome buddy it wasn't a problem and you'll find we're a pretty helpful bunch here.
Look forward to hearing and seeing more. Enjoy the forum but more importantly enjoy yourself and your radio work.
All the best, Victor

My ears pricked up when you mentioned "home brew alcohol" as I make Beers and Wine .
What models do you make John and any pictures ?

Used to Homebrew, Stout, Lager, Beers, Cider, and Wine, sort of drifted away from it, but it's taken years to consume the products of my labour, hic

Mr Sharpshooter, I do apologise for the very late reply. A few health issues knocked me off my feet for a few months but I'm back playing with radios again
Model making: MainlyWW2 military vehicles, tanks in particular, although I still have a German submarine and a British MTB to make. Built a R/C Tiger Mk1 in 2020 that took over a year to make - and it still isn't painted! Many models were lost/damaged in a house move in 2021
Home Brewing: I make all sorts of wine, beer, cider and spirits. I had good results from Cherry Brandy, various whiskies, an excellent Bourbon that could rival JD
Wireless: Yes, I've made Stouts and beers from kits and raw materials. I started brewing as an impoverished student at Uni. I have some Barley Wine on the go at the moment so should be ready for bottling in a couple of weeks

Hello John, glad to hear of your recovery . Sorry to hear your house move didn't go too smoothly.
I nearly missed this post as the forum structure i find difficult and easy to miss posts. I've finished all my stout and IPA over the Christmas period and haven't got anything on the go as I want to try laying off the booze for a while haha. Although I do have various wines left.
Bourbon you say ? Air still ? I have an unopened bottle of JD from Christmas and possibly a JB (jim beam) at the caravan
Putting the Christmas decorations away in the loft I thought I'd dig out some model kits I knew were up there. Turns out there were more than I thought
I'd bought one or three over Christmas so thought I'd store them all together. Looks like I've done the same in the past by the extra amount in the loft
I have started to buy new tools and a case. All the old paints will most definitely be a no go
