Hi All, the name's Tom (MadDogMcQ) and I'm from a small village outside the town of Bolton.
I've been interested in radio from a young age and have been a SWL for many years. My wife nearly divorced me in the early 90's because I blew a huge wad of money on an AOR AR3000A (which I've still got today).
I now have an Amateur Radio licence and quite a few radios. I like SSB on HF and also enjoy DSTAR, C4FM and DMR. I've recently bought an Alinco DX-10 for 10/11M and I'm quite keen to experiment outside the "usual" radio ham stuff and have been encouraged by a friend to get a CT 11 CallSign, so here I am requesting one
As for me personally, I'm in my sixth decade, married, work full time and have a fairly professional approach to radio play. I very much look forward to getting to know everyone and picking your brains.
