Ofcom has allowed the letter R to be added to call signs, if you wish to celebrate King Charles's coronation you will need to apply for an NoV. Details available here https://rsgb.org/main/the-coronation-of-the-king-and-the-queen-consort/coronation-call-signs/

Thanks for highlighting. I was aware, but only just the other day, so good to let others know who might not of read about it elsewhere. Are you / will you be doing this?

I have changed over, and it is an advantage on FT8 for sure, plenty of previously logged contacts are getting it in their log books, I don't mind responding to call signs I have logged before.

Glad to see you are having fun with your R callsign. I applied too. Did it for two reasons, the first being just so I understood the application for a NoV to licence.. that turned out to be pretty straight forward as you will know anyway, but I'd never done it before.
Secondly, I though it might attract more interest and people may answer me over my standard callsign. Not sure that's working so well for me lol. I am still getting ignored here and there, e.g. PSK Reporter has shown I have had good signals into Alaska, Kenya, Hawaii, Samoa and others I'd like to get in the log, and that the operators are active and responding to other people, just won't come back to me. Oh well
Oh, I should of said I did it for three reasons.. Long live the King
I am just using the R call for FT4/8 by the way. All other phone ops and current trials on SSTV am using my normal call.
