| As far as I know CB is legal anywhere except on aircraft....you may need to check that it doesn't interfere with navigation equipment when sailing though. | |

| People have been doing it for as long as CB has been in the UK. Some of the longest-running users are people on fishing boats. The golden rule is, if it's not your boat, get the captain's permission - but I know plenty of occasions where it's been given for people on hand-helds. We once copied a guy on a 4W hand-held on a ferry from Pompey to France most of the way across the Channel. I've done it from the car ferry to the Isle of Wight.
