Run some RG8 down the end of the garden and chucked the dipole on the garden fence about six feet off the ground running horizontal. After a bit of fiddling about I got the SWR down below 1.4 on 20M and made some cracking contacts in Sweden and Croatia straight away. I have always loved 20M but have not used it for a few years. Always good to hear about antennas being made up, installed and worked with so well done Rich.
Sounds like it's doing you a great service so far too with your Continental contacts there and I wish you the best with further activity on it.
(I always get that nice warm feeling for anyone who gets any kind of antenna up and works the airwaves. )

I love messing about with dipole antennas, I was using an inverted V for 10M/11M in my attic a few years ago and with 15W SSB it's amazing what you can achieve. I just need to get this 20M dipole up a little higher now.
