Hi all,
Hope you are all keeping well and above all enjoying your radio activities.
Every now and then we all have a fond moment recalling days of old with our earliest starts in radio and for many of us that would be Citizens Band radio. Whether early (illegal ) AM/SSB days or later UK FM (27/81 - 42 years ago!!) it all had a place in many of our lives.
There were also a plethora of magazines available during those years long lost in the sands of time.....or are they?
If you have a while to wend (warning, you may get a little lost and wrapped up in it!) a lot of these old magazines are available to view online at :-
https://www.worldradiohistory.com/index.htm
Just pop onto the menu at the left of the site, drop down to "C" then select "CB Radio selection" for a wealth of old CB magazines, books and articles. (The site is dynamic so I can't provide a direct link but easily navigated.)
Examples include the following....
Oh go on then, one featuring my favourite CB of all time
I've posted pics up of the UK magazines available but there are also American and even French magazines available. (We are an International DX group after all.)
Why not have a scan through when you next have some free time and get lost amongst the old articles, pictures of CB and reviews, lists of old CB clubs, helpful articles and old adverts of suppliers now unfortunately long gone.
I've wasted many an hour online browsing through those old pages!!!
Enjoy,
All the best, Victor
(There's also many old Amateur Radio magazines available on the site as well as loads of radio interest books and articles amongst others. Fantastic that such a wealth of information is lovingly preserved/archived for us all to enjoy these many years later.)

Hiya Les, not too bad this way mate and hope you are keeping well.
Ha! Love it! That was a bit of a find.
Hope you enjoyed perusing through some of the old mags, I know I have on several occasions.
(I've mentioned the world radio history site several times before but always worthy of another mention.)

I know times have changed, but it does seem that, going by the magazine collection, CB Radio was a lot sexier than Ham Radio back in the '80s. Covers, adverts, Page 19 girl, even Ham International had a base antenna called the Sexy!
Thanks for sharing.

I know what you mean Neal and it took me a little while to find 'family friendly' cover pages so that I could post up!
The cover with the Stalker 9F DX is my sort of 'porn' and about as sexy as I want to get.
