I have recently got into cb radio as I was left some old gear from my partners grandad . He was massively into his radios and I’m hoping to continue the hobby in his memory .

Welcome to Charlie Tango DX.
Always nice to hear about family influences with the radio interest especially when it spreads across several generations. My grandfather and old Dad were both into radio and as a grandfather myself nowadays I'm getting the grandchildren involved too.
