Hello everyone call sign request (Issued)

Hi

My name is Mark, I'm 36 years old from Liverpool, UK. Missed the CB scene the first time round. I have older brothers and remember there being a CB in our shared bedroom and a silver rod antenna on back of the house that my dad put up. I have memories of my brother occasionally chatting to his mates on it but was too young myself to use it. 

I have recently become interested in CB and have fitted one in my car. I regularly go on a 2hr journey with my family from my home city of Liverpool to our caravan in North Wales and enjoy seeing what we can pick up on the radio along the way.

I do try to make contact sometimes but I'm not very familiar with CB lingo and don't always know if they are responding to me or somebody else that I can't hear.

I would like to request a call sign so that I know if the persons I am trying to make contact with are responding to me or not and also if you have any tips/advise on phrases (for want of a better word) I can use to make contact/join into on-going conversations it would be very much appreciated.

I wouldn't worry too much about "Lingo" that was very much a bygone era. Just speak as you would normally you'll pick things up as you go along.
