Hello everyone, I would like to get get a Charlie Tango callsign.
I live in Malta and have ordered a CB Radio just to communicate with Charlie Tango members really!
I have ordered a Uniden PRO401HH to use as my main radio, If there is any mods I could do to it tell me!
Finally I'd like to request a callsign again.
Thanks you and hope to catch someone on the air this summer.
Cheers,
Matthew

Do I have to choose the callsign myself or is it random?

Hello Matthew, welcome to the forum.
You don't have to choose a call sign we issue the next available number in the division that you live. We currently have no other members in Malta so your suffix will be 001 unless you wish to have something different.
We do require all call sign applicants to fill in their profiles in full including your name country and specific QTH (nearest city or town)
Once you've actioned the above I can issue you a call sign.
I don't know of any mods for the radio that you've ordered but would advise you to consider an external antenna of some description because the antenna on all handhelds will be a massive compromise on the C.B. frequencies and could limit your range to only a mile or two at best.

Hello, I have did the changes. I have guessed that I would be at least one of the first in Malta as radios arent that popular here.
