Hi all, I think I would class myself as an old cb operator from the am days. Gave it up about 1995 and all equipment sent to the attic and garage. My wife passed away November 2023 and as a result have been doing some clearing of things. Found all the old cb gear so I have decided to revive the hobby. At the moment I am reviving an original Skylab (the one with 4 ground plane radials). Anyway the personal is Mike but use Mick to stop confusion.

Hi Mick and welcome to Charlie Tango.
Sorry to hear about the passing of your wife and you have my condolences.
I think you're in good company with many old school operators amongst our membership here (as well as many newer operators too) with a lot picking up the reigns again after decades away. Some of us even came back and went onto to join the ranks of the Ham community too. All are welcome here, if it's radio it's all good.
I wish you the best with getting your old gear set back up (I'll bet you've got some classic stuff) and hope you enjoy your radio pursuits as well as the company here at Charlie Tango.
Oh, just noticed your request too - leave it with us and either myself or out other callsign admin Gary will get you sorted out as soon as we can.
All the best, Victor
CT Admin.

Hi and welcome Mick. It was around 95 when i packed up after starting back on am and i came back in lockdown. What i found was silence around where i live but didn't give up and caught the odd contact. As Victor and many others did i went for my ham ticket and now live in my shack in the garden lol.
