Subject: CRT 9900 signal meter. Fri May 29, 2020 8:37 am
Hi Guys wondering if any body can shine a light on an issue I am having. I have just brought a crt9900 and the signal meter has stopped working souly on fm. USB. And Lsb it works fine. So in a nutshell when I key the microphone the tx light indicates but no power in the digital display. Is this correct for that radio Thanks guys

No, that's not correct....I have the same radio and it should work in all modes. Did you check to see if the PWR dial (behind the RF gain dial) is turned up? If your output is set at approx 10 watts or less the digital display won't move in FM mode.

Thank you for your help. It's a brand new radio so haven't got much of a clue really how it works. But due to the power that the radio delivers everyone I have spoken to say never run it on high power on fm due to the heat that it creates. So I must have turned it more or less off which in turn stopped the signal meter working. But all good and fixed now thanks very much Phil.
