This is my President Washington with Astatic Silver Eagle, it seems to filter out the QRM that most modern radios pick up, what vintage radio do you use? doe`s it have any benefits over modern equipment?

The Multimode 2 was my second SSB radio after the Major M588, a compromise for me as i could not afford the Cobra 148 or the Superstar 360,but it still worked DX no problems

As a kid i remember looking at the Binatone 5 star in Comet or Dixons thinking it must be the Rolls Royce of legal Cb`s

It worked well on my van with the wilson 1000. But I've gone to a crt7900. The modern radios are superb.

The main CB in the middle is what I have now "Magnum Delta-force" I also have a Magnum 257 HP (80w on SSB) and a Ford Roadmaster 505. The Magnum 257 HP is for sale! My Major Excalibur 200 is away for a service and will most likely be for sale on return.

Was the Ford Roadmaster ever fitted into their cars? or was it an off the shelf option for customers to fit?

Hi Morris, all I know is that the Ford Roadmaster was an optional extra. This is my second time arround having one, my first was many many years ago and although only havin 4 x leds for a signal meter I realy love this radio, the audio in and out is first class.

There were probably a few Transits and Escorts rattling around with those in back in the 80`s

It's a little messy in that shot, but all in all there is some fun stuff in there. I'm not sure the general manager would agree, but at least she tolerates it. For now. "Terms and conditions apply, policy is subject to change."
