I couldn't get a word in edgeways, and I've only got a 4 watt radio with maybe 3 of them left, so I didn't bother trying much

I too only have 4W FM so could listen but that was about it haha. I heard a chap DXing from Dundee, but also from Italy and Germany. Im not sure but i believe i also picked up 26CT2022.

It was crazy yesterday! I had a 5 minute chat with a bloke who was blasting in from Dundee! Not bad from a mobile setup at the side of the road in Surrey, on a 30 year old rig I was running about 50W but how much difference that made, I really don't know. Great fun

Nice one Chris. At my QTH was fun, but fairly short opening. I dozed off on the bed with the radio on the 555 and was woken suddenly with a station booming in from Ireland. Less than an hour later whilst I was waiting my turn (I'm too polite with my waiting sometimes) to try an work a Northern Ireland station who was talking to a Scottish one, they just disappeared, no fading, just silence. But fun whilst it lasted.
Hope others caught a bit of it.
