| Hi, Regarding DX...
Wondering if there are any 2E1 stations on here. Wondering if they go on HF bands at all. Certainly VHF but I am not sure as I have not heard any on HF... Just a question...

| Hi Nick.
2E1 is now an intermediate call sign and enjoys the privileges of that level. I.E 50w and the majority of the radio spectrum including HF. They were originally issued as a class B or Novice license.

| I have worked plenty on 40m in the past but into UK being poor at the moment it is not possible. My wife has a 2E1 and she does go on the air. 73, Mark

I think it's okay Trevor. It's a discussion about amateur call signs in Amateur discussions. Am I missing something? 73's Gary.

| Lols Trevor. The other night I went to the kitchen three times and on each occasion forgot what I'd gone there for. I was understandably concerned so took to Dr google to check for the symptoms of dementia! Apparently I'm very busy!!! 73's Gary. | |

| Im 2E1 JEH. Cant remember what happened with the licence but It was 20+ years ago. I was sure we were only allowed 10 watts??? I have only just returned to the hobby so perhaps I've forgotten..
What would be required for the full licence these days?

| As a 2E1 you are now classed as an Intermediate licence holder being able to use 50w. All you have to do is sit the Advanced licence test and you can use up to 400w.

| Get the suffix you want in 2#1 As many people are passing their intermediate exam, one of the hardest issues is being able to pick a free suffix as most of the 2#0 calls have been issued. People are reminded that they can obtain a 2#1 call sign from Ofcom via webchat or application form. https://1drv.ms/b/s!Ah8ag4r2GMzxdhjDupc4UTZAIUE Here is an editable PDF file Fill it out email it in. There's a £20 fee but your likely to get a call sign with a suffix of your choice. |

| I've still got my 2m1 call from 20 years ago. Now got the full call but keeping the old one as well. Matching pair. | |
