Hi all, I currently use a Modulator for 10/11m and fancy a change, I have access to a 3/8 or PL fitting on either a magmount or fixed mount on the boot. I will thinking of either a 5 foot Firestik or a Sirio PL4000/5000, the FS is about £32 posted the Sirios around £40ish. The size is not too important as it wont be used when driving. Any thoughts or other suggestions, I see the Wilsons also get a good right up.

Hi Gaoler,
I asked a very similar question on here some time back, I decided on the Sirio PL5000 and couldn't be happier with the results, very nice construction and easy to tune. - Looks great on a silver motor as well - lol I put this on a boot lip mount and have had no issues even at motorway speeds, if you know what I mean - Ahem!!
From some reports on CT, a few folk have real issues tuning in the Wilson, something that put me off that choice. I did look at a FireStik but the physical size also put me off a little.
Only my opinion but if you decided on the Sirio 4000 or 5000 I don't think you would go far wrong.

Hi Graeme,
Thanks for the reply, must admit I ma leaning towards the Sirio company on ebay have the 5000 at £39.99 plus postage or an LED light up one for the same with free post. Might just take the plunge.

Hi Gaoler,
Just a word of warning !!
There are reports of a lot of Fake 5000's for sale, if you do decide on a Sirio, it should come with a certificate card attached to the whip that you can verify on the Siro website.
BTW, The light up ones look a little Naff -
There are a couple of different styles of the 5000 model, I ordered the Sirio Turbo 5000 PL model from Moonraker UK, It has the adjustment to allow me to mount it vertical with a sloping boot.
Hope that's of some use.

I was aware thanks and asked the seller if they had the Sirio card with scratch off password on, which they said they had. The LED is a bit 80's but that said its the same antenna and cheaper, its outside the car I will never see it lit up! Like the better bandwidth so hopefully not too much adjusting for the change of frequencies.
