i am asking what forum would i choose if i need help,

ok if i am looking for a certain cb radio what forum page would i leave a post asking if any one has that cb rig available, is it buying and selling section or another forum? any help appreciated,

TBH your post is a bit unclear exactly what your asking for ,If you are looking to buy anything from the forum or find out if someone is selling a certain radio you look on the buy and wanted section of the forum ie: if your looking you post a wanted request in the wanted section ,if your looking for just info about a certain radio just do what the other poster has says.

hi nubster,  in the buy section it clearly states you must have 50 post's and 3 months in the forum, to post anything in there, i tried, i was looking for a forum that dealt with requesting a rig,  as i cannot post in the buy or wanted section of that forum,

as you can see NUBSTER,  when you go to post a request you i get this message, 

Members must have been registered for a minimum of 3 months before being allowed to advertise items for sale or swap.

Members must also have a minimum post count of 50 before being allowed to advertise items for sale or swap.


as i dont have any of them i cannot request thing's, so i am trying to find an alternative to help other's, 

Yes sorry I know that ,not saying this is you but this was done to stop people who just join the club to sell there stuff and leave ,a few years back we had this problem of people joining and selling crap stuff and never seeing them again so they did that rule to see how committed you was to the forum ,perhaps you could post a request in the general asking section to a admin to see if they can help

If you look in the for sale section there are posts from guys who have only just joined with very little posts and probably never been back since the post was made.
I think you are safe to post in the wanted section as the rule was made up a few years back to stop people joining just to sell radio gear. As Martin says, they were selling crap then scarpering.

i understand why the rule was put there,  but as you both have just stated,  people joined to sell thing's, i did not join to sell thing's, its nice to have a forum in some ways i can call home, 

id sooner follow the rule's, if it say's 50 post's and 3 month's then i can wait, there's always ebay as well, 

i bought 4 rig/s from ebay, some with just miner frequency problem's couple of k'cs out but nothing a tune up wont solve, and other where they have been moded with the channel 9 switch going to 19 and the low power being removed, so i have a nice friend called david from new port looking them over for me, so  cant wait to get them back,
