Request for a CT call sign please. Having recently obtained Foundation call sign M7AWG I have written a very long winded intro on QRZ.com. Ham radio aside, I've found as much interest, enthusiasm and dedication in CB, if not more. It seems all the "happy people" from all camps, are the ones who embrace All things Radio, and enjoy whatever interests them the most. I look forward to my CT call sign 73 Allan

Our Mr Gary Wilson who issues callsigns is on most days so shouldn't take long to be issued.
I might have to bend your ear regards your Baofengs and Peanut setup recently discovering the joys of these little Chinese radios myself.

Thanks for your kind words, I'll eagerly wait the callsign - although I can't do much with it yet as I've not got a rig yet! I will ease myself into it gently.
The Baofengs are great, in fact incredible at the price. Peanut is amazing considering no cost, not to mention Zello....
Its probably best that I don't have much money - I'd buy up just about every radio on the market and sit with 'em all around me and not know where to start - still, all good fun though...

Like you I don't have much money to throw around but it hasn't stopped me yet! I've got an old HF set that I've slowly restored, (Yaesu FT757gx gifted from an old Ham friend), an Intek K980, (same as UV-5r), homebuilt PC running Linux and the know-how to sling up my own DIY antennas and build anything I'd ever need. (Currently putting together a Pi network ATU & RF noise bridge).
Think I'd be the same as you if I had the cash and buy up every toy on the market! (Draw the line at multi-thousand pound rigs though!?!)
There's plenty of CB breakers your way judging by past callsign allocations, so you'd be off to a good start when you get a rig. You could always have a go at the prize draw currently running with the chance to win a Yaesu FT891
Or simply enjoy the forum. There's some good lads on here!
