Yes i think it does have the tuner. The 450d had illuminated buttons but the rest was the same i think. It was the 450d i had so could be wrong but they both have the "Tune" button.

I had my 450d before i did my licence and actually upgraded to the ft991a when i put in for the exam. Made me study harder lol. Also just watched a video about the 450 and i can confirm that it does have the tuner. What i found with the tuner was the 450d worked better than the 991a tuner. I also work a 10 meter wire with the 9.1 unun so your LW10 will be ok it is the same thing as i have.

My son has just pointed something out to me some sellers won't do PayPal, they want straight transfer, typical when you find something it's to dammed far away, while we are in this mad world, I was going to buy a crt6900 but looking closely it should be a HF...thanks for help...

I would never do the direct transfer thing. Keep looking the 450 is a good radio and one will turn up. Have a look on the shop sites Radio world and the likes as they get second hand kit in. The ft450d i had i sold within hours of telling somebody i was thinking of selling it. The guy that bought it said they where sort after as they where stopping production of them. Keep saving your pennies m8 one will come along.

Just to clarify
The Yaesu Ft 450 does NOT have a built in ATU as standard but was available as a option
The ft450AT does have a built in ATU along with the FT 450D

Learn something new every day. Wasn't sure but the video i watched he demonstrated it and as they all have the button i thought they had it.
