Well done with finally getting hold of a Datong unit!
I remember you asking about them a little while back and good to hear you finally got hold of one.
I've been looking back at similar tech myself recently to perform VHF to HF conversion as a backup resource. My old Yaesu HF set is still out of commission but I recently got hold of a 2m all mode radio and such a unit would be useful along with it.
