Callsign request pls (Issued)

Hi all just new to the forum although been into the radio hobby many years off and on and now back on air after a while away from the hobby..
Started my radio affair in 1978 yes it seems like a lifetime ago but my memories are still fresh and started with a cobra 19x in dads vauxhall viva with a dv27 antenna as most did back then just nice and simple..

I progressed to a cobra 148gtldx and avanti sigma 2 and went though many hygain’s  and others and eventually a ham jumbo came along with a bremi brl200 amp and thats where i was hooked on ssb dx making contacts all over europe..

Sadly life moved on i got married had kids and the rest is history but i could never get the radio hobby out of my life and being a truck driver usually had an ssb unit in the cab altho not allowed to have them now

So now im back although not many on around teeside area but there are the die hard types some of whom have been on since i was kid so really nice to catch up with old freinds again.

So thats my radio obsession story and if possible id like a charlie tango callsign as ive heard quite a lot of your members on sidebands and it would be great to be a part of your group

Great introduction and good to hear about your radio history.

To obtain a callsign we need to know your first name, (we've got your QTH so that's all good.)

If you can fill that into your profile or at least let us know in this posting you can be issued a callsign.

Yes many thanks for sorting this out for me and also for updating my profile it saves me a whole world of pain to be honest and i really appreciate it as its set up ready for me to use the forum..

Hi john yes great to be here buddy i have had a long absentism from radio although i do still own some radios and still have the same passion for the hobby i just have very little time inbetween work and other commitments to actually get on the radio and when i do finally manage to get on there are so few people on in my area so usually just switch it off again
Im looking forward to getting back on ssb on the 555 and hope to hear from you all around the bands..
