Hello, thank you for aalowing access to this site. I was a CBer back in the 80's and recently came across my old kit. It is disappointing how CB has declined with no etiquette and hogging of breaker channel etc. I have been investigating PMR and would be interested in joining the Sunday Evening Channel 8 meet. I would like to do it properly and apply for a call sign. Thanks in advance

Hi Dave,
Welcome to Charlie Tango.
In some areas CB radio has been a reinvent of the naughty teenagers of the 1980's and legal FM, but in others it does herald back to the old days of mutual respect and enjoyment. Call signs, regular nets and clubs have all helped drag back CB to what it used to be and sometimes on air transmissions resemble those good old days.
Best of luck with your PMR activities, I hope you find some good contacts.
All the best, Victor

Thank you everyone for your welcoming messages, I can instantly tell this is a friendly helpful site. Looking forward to a PMR test this evening and the 8pm Sunday meet.
Hopefully CB will continue to flourish once again and peer pressure to act responsibly may ensue.
Here's hoping Dave CT 4237
