It's nice to have found this community, I feel I should give credit to Fred in the Shed (from youtube) for re-igniting an interest in an old hobby and finding my way here!
It's been many years since I met friends using my Maxcom 30E and unknown antenna attached to the iron downpipe at my Mum's house in south east London. I'm just about to order an SS-9900 and maybe an Antron 99 or something similar, although I'm undecided about fibre vs ally, and I've swapped London for the Thanet coast. Looking forward to trying AM and particularly SSB for the first time and wondering how many others are out there... The number of applications for call signs here is encouraging!
All the best and many thanks,
Ian

Hi Ian,
Welcome to Charlie Tango.
I hope your return to CB radio is a good one and your call sign helps you bag those SSB/AM contacts.
All the best, Victor
